Perpignan
Perpignan, at the western end of France’s Mediterranean coast, is a mix of cultures. While lying on the French side of the border, the city has a definite Catalan flavour, thanks to the region that straddles both sides of the Spanish border.
The Pyrénées-Orientales region, with Perpignan as its capital, is a popular destination for visitors drawn to impressive mountain scenery and cuisine with a strong Iberian influence.
