• Community Notifications

The operational requirements of a busy international airport like Birmingham mean that from time to time, residents are likely to notice additional or unusual patters of activity on or around the airfield. We aim to give our neighbours as much information as possible at the earliest opportunity, so that they understand the reasons for any unfamiliar activity. For planned events, such as routine runway or airfield maintenance projects, we will post information on this site.

  • Consultation

The Birmingham Airport Consultative Committee is the cornerstone of our formal consultation process. The Committee exists as a legal requirement and is there to provide facilities for consultation on any matter concerning the management or administration of the Airport which affects the interests of three major groups:

    • Users of the Airport
    • Any local authority in the neighbourhood of the Airport
    • Any other organisation representing the interests of people concerned with the locality of the Airport.

    Outreach

Our Community Outreach Programme is part of our commitment to making it easy for local people to let us have their views on Airport operations.

  • Talks and Presentations

Many people are interested in how a busy airport operates or what our future plans are and we often receive requests for talks or presentations. With limited time and resources we cannot always help, but where our other commitments allow, we’re happy to oblige.
