We follow government guidelines that say an Airport Consultative Committee should be an independent body and that it should provide an effective forum for discussion of all matters concerning the operation or development of the Airport which has an impact on people living and working in the surrounding areas. The Committee has an independent Chair and is serviced by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
We aim to achieve a comprehensive input to the Committee’s discussions by ensuring fair representation from the full range of Airport users and local interests. Membership includes representatives from local councils, local residents associations, parish councils, community groups, chambers of commerce and other Airport users. Representatives from the Airport Company, National Air Traffic Services and airlines also attend meetings.
