Piece of cake! Monarch celebrate new route to Madeira.

Leading scheduled leisure airline, Monarch, celebrated its inaugural flights from Birmingham to the winter sun destination of Madeira on Monday 15th October.

Expanding on its already extensive network of scheduled destinations, the new routes to Madeira offers customers the opportunity for winter sun with flights operating from Birmingham twice a week.

Kevin George, Managing Director of Monarch Airlines, said: “The launch of these new routes for winter 2012/13 is a great opportunity for those who wish to escape the UK’s cold winters. The Portuguese island of Madeira is one of the best European destinations for winter sun and we are confident our product offering will be perfectly placed for this new destination.”

Conceição Estudante, Regional Secretary for Culture, Tourism and Transports, Autonomous Region of Madeira Regional Government Portugal, commented on the new route: “It is with great pleasure that we welcome Monarch’s new flights from Birmingham. I would like to thank Monarch for believing in the potential of our beautiful island, which I am sure, will exceed their customers’ expectations.
