Birmingham Airport offers an aircraft viewing area open to the public to view aircraft taking off and landing. The aircraft viewing area is free to the public and is located at the edge of Long Stay Car Park 1 nearest to the terminal building. This specially designated area affords a good view down the full length of the runway.
The area is equipped with picnic tables and pedestrian access is via the entrance to Long Stay Car Park 1 or Viscount Road adjacent to the car hire collection entrance.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the construction activity taking place close to the viewing area. This temporary activity is related to the runway extension development and normal operations will resume over the course of the next 12 months.
