The Drop & Go car park has been designed specifically for dropping off passengers. Conveniently located directly outside the terminal building, the Drop & Go car park offers the fastest route to the check-in desks.
The Drop & Go car park charges a premium rate of £1 for up to 10 minutes, £2 for 15 minutes, £7 for 20 mins and £5 for every 5 minutes thereafter. You'll find full car park tariff information here. For collecting passengers please park in either Car Parks 1,2 or 3 where 1 hour parking is chargeable at £4.70 per hour and provides greater reassurance over charges applicable should your passenger be delayed.
Alternatively, you can park for stays of up to 15 minutes for free in Car Park 5, which is a 10 minute walk or five minute free shuttle bus ride to the terminal. Stays of over 15 minutes are charged at the standard tariff rate as displayed at the car park entrance.
As it is sometimes difficult to estimate how long it will take for passengers to arrive, we do not recommend using the Drop & Go car park for picking up passengers. You will incur premium non-refundable charges for any passenger delay.
Please use Car Parks 1,2 & 3 for picking up passengers. These car parks are only a short two minute walk from the Arrivals gate and the tariff prices start from only £4.70 for up to 1 hour.
Alternatively you can park for up to 15 minutes free in Car Park 5, a short walk or bus ride from the terminal building.
In order to maintain visitor safety, red routes are in operation around the airport site. Drivers are prohibited to stop, unload or park on the red routes which are clearly marked around the airport roads via signage and double red line road markings. A vehicle monitoring and enforcement operation is in place with an enforcement charge of £100 (reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days).
Birmingham Airport Limited and APCOA Parking UK Ltd have a responsibility for the enforcement of parking restrictions which are essential for the free flow of traffic and for safety. Restrictions regarding use of the roadway will be indicated on signage displayed on the roadway or by markings on the ground and it is your responsibility to check that your vehicle is not in breach of any description.
APCOA Parking UK Ltd may issue Parking Charge Notices for breaches of the restrictions, including but not limited to:
- Failing to park in a designated parking area
- Dropping off/picking up outside of a designated parking area
- Stopping on double red lines
The charge payable for a Parking Charge Notice is £100 if paid within 28 days, reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days.
All appeals and enquiries relating to parking enforcement on the private roads should be addressed to: Apcoa Parking, PO Box 222, Lowton Way, Hellaby, Sheffield, S98 1NX Telephone: 0345 303 7397
In the event of a breach of the restrictions, the vehicle keeper details will be requested from the DVLA. Further fees may be incurred if the Parking Charge Notice remains unpaid.
