Road Closure and Traffic Management, Feburary to May 2017
The new Premium Set Down drop off facility, adjacent to the terminal, is now open.
However, drivers should be aware that the airport continues a programme of surface access works to develop a 30 minute free drop off car park. During the works, some lanes on our internal roads may be closed along Airport Way. Traffic will be monitored throughout the works to ensure the impact is mitigated.
The footway/cycleway along Airport Way will also be closed as part of the improvements and users will be directed through Car Park 5 for the duration.

Important update on electrical vehicle charging points
All electric vehicle charging points situated on the Premium Set Down car park will be unavailable from 2nd May 2017 until 31st May 2017. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Our Premium Set Down car park is conveniently located adjacent to the terminal. The charges are as follows:

Please use Car Parks 1, 2 and 3 for picking up passengers. These car parks are only a short two minute walk from the Arrivals gate and the tariff prices start from £4.90 for up to 1 hour.
Alternatively you can park for up to 15 minutes free in Car Park 5, a short walk or bus ride from the terminal building.
In order to maintain visitor safety, red routes are in operation around the airport site. Drivers are prohibited to stop, unload or park on the red routes which are clearly marked around the airport roads via signage and double red line road markings. A vehicle monitoring and enforcement operation is in place with an enforcement charge of £100 (reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days).
Birmingham Airport Limited and APCOA Parking UK Ltd have a responsibility for the enforcement of parking restrictions which are essential for the free flow of traffic and for safety. Restrictions regarding use of the roadway will be indicated on signage displayed on the roadway or by markings on the ground and it is your responsibility to check that your vehicle is not in breach of any description.
APCOA Parking UK Ltd may issue Parking Charge Notices for breaches of the restrictions, including but not limited to:
- Failing to park in a designated parking area
- Dropping off/picking up outside of a designated parking area
- Stopping on double red lines
The charge payable for a Parking Charge Notice is £100 if paid within 28 days, reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days.

In the event of a breach of the restrictions, the vehicle keeper details will be requested from the DVLA. Further fees may be incurred if the Parking Charge Notice remains unpaid.
