Vetting
Your name and date of birth will be shared with West Midlands Police and West Midlands Counter Terrorist Policing. This sharing is done to cross reference your information against the Police National Database to check for any disqualifiable criminal convictions. Your name and date of birth will also be processed against a National database by West Midlands Counter Terrorist Unit to identify any terrorism and National Security risks. This is necessary to support the safeguarding of national security and the prevention and detection of crime, including to help prevent attacks against airports and aviation in the UK.
Your information will be shared with the Head of Security and People Director when it is necessary for a serious investigation to determine your ongoing employment with the Airport. The Airport uses an external vetting company, where required, and your personal information will be shared with them to complete vetting. Please refer to Birmingham Airport Recruitment Privacy Notice, which can be found on the vacancies page of this website.
