Birmingham Airport is collecting your personal data. When we collect personal data, we are legally obliged to provide you with certain information, it is called the “Right to be Informed”. That information is contained in the below Notice. - Why we need it - the purpose of processing
Due to a requirement under Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations, Birmingham Airport has produced a survey to gather feedback from passengers based on their experiences of the assisted travel service. This collection will be on a voluntary basis and will request passenger opinions. In order to carry out the survey visitors will be asked to provide an email address. This email address will be used to send a hyperlink to the survey’s online location. Your survey responses are anonymous and will not be linked with your email address.
- Why we’re allowed to process your personal information in this way – the legal basis
To process your personal information, via this survey, the Airport is relying on the following Article 6 condition of the GDPR:
- Processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the Data Controller.
- Who we will share your personal information with?
Your information will only be shared internally with the ‘Terminal Operations’ team. This will be used to improve service levels and to meet our CAA obligations.
- Where will your personal information will be stored or transferred to?
Your personal information will be stored on the Airport's UK servers.
- How long we will keep your personal information:
Your personal data (email address) will be retained for two months and then it will be appropriately disposed of. Email addresses will be counted monthly to provide a total number of surveys sent out per month. Once this process of counting the number of surveys has been completed, the email addresses will be securely deleted.
