Arrivals testing information

Testing for passengers arriving into the UK

Passengers arriving from all international destinations will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test result before departing for England.

Those passengers entering from a country outside the Common Travel Area, but not on the red list of countries, will also need to book and pay for a travel test package, which will include COVID-19 tests to be taken on or before day 2 and on or after day 8 of your quarantine - this costs £210. Use the booking portal to book your travel test package (this is administered by CTM).

Those passengers entering England who have visited or passed through a country where travel to the UK is banned in the last 10 days (on the red list) must book a managed quarantine hotel package where they will quarantine. The quarantine package will include managed quarantine hotel, quarantine transport and a travel test package for COVID-19 tests on day 2 and day 8 of quarantine. The cost is £1,750 for one adult in one room for 10 days. The additional rate for one adult or child over 12 is £650. The additional rate for one child aged 5-12 is £325. Use the booking portal to book your quarantine hotel package (this is administered by CTM).

Further details can be found here.

Test to Release - International Travel

Passengers arriving into England can reduce the quarantine period from non-exempt countries by taking a private Covid-19 test. If a test taken on day five after arrival proves negative, passengers can unlock themselves early from the 10 day quarantine. Find out more here.
