Arriving at Grenoble Airport (GNB)

Although Grenoble Airport (GNB) is relatively small, the airport has good connections onwards to Grenoble and other nearby destinations. The airport is about 45 km (28 miles) from the city of Grenoble, so the main transport links are by road rather than rail.

There are some regional buses that serve the surrounding towns, though these are not as frequent as the airport shuttle.

During the ski season, there are shuttle services available from the airport to nearby ski resorts, such as Alpe d'Huez, Les Deux Alpes, and others in the French Alps,

There is no direct train from the airport. However, the shuttle bus service connects to Grenoble’s main train station, Gare de Grenoble, which has train links to Lyon, Paris, Geneva, and other destinations.

During winter, special buses run from the airport to popular ski resorts in the Alps. These services are typically pre-booked for those heading for the slopes.
