Today marks one year since easyJet launched its base at Birmingham Airport in March 2024

Birmingham Airport (BHX) is celebrating its most waste efficient year ever with its recycling rate for terminal operations exceeding 75%.

In a further announcement focusing on passenger experience enhancements, Birmingham Airport has confirmed a new assisted travel partnership to manage this vital service provision supporting the needs of its customers.  

Birmingham Airport has announced plans to introduce a barrierless system for vehicles dropping off passengers at its Premium Set Down and drop off areas. The changes, which will be rolled out in phases beginning with the Elmdon multi-storey in February, and the drop off facilities following in Spring 2025.  The removal of barriers will assist the flow of vehicles in the relevant areas and reduce congestion during busier times.
