Car Park 1 is a multi-storey car park, open 24 hours a day, with lift access to all levels, and undercover parking for all lengths of stay. The maximum height limit for Car Park 1 is 2.15m. Parking bays are 2.9m wide and 4.82m long, so are suitable for most average size vehicles.

Leave the M42 at junction 6 and proceed along the A45 following the signs to the airport. On arrival at the airport follow the signs for Car Park 1. Car Park 1 is a one minute walk from the check-in desks, making it one of our most convenient car parks. It has plenty of space, too. Thanks to its proximity to the terminal, there’s no need for a shuttle bus. Car park 1 is also ideal if you’re coming to Birmingham Airport to pick up arriving passengers.
Using Car Park 1
When you arrive at Car Park 1, there is no need to press for a ticket. Our ANPR cameras will read your registration number to raise the barriers automatically.
If you are planning to book in advance, please ensure you provide us with the correct registration number at the point of booking. If you have made a booking, we will email you with detailed instructions on the arrival's procedure.
Should you require any help, please press the assistance button which is located on the entrance column and a member of our customer service team will be happy to assist you.
Once you’ve parked, you’re free to get to the check-in desks and start your holiday, knowing that your vehicle is being looked after by our professional parking team.

Once you’re back from your break, leave the terminal building, and head back to the car park.
If you have a booking, we will email you with detailed instructions on the return's procedure.
We have three pay machines in the car park where you can pay by card. Please note, all our pay machines are now cashless. Please have your registration number ready to enter.
Paying before you reach the exit speeds up the process, so you can drive to the exit barrier, which will raise automatically, and get ahead with your journey.
If you wish to pay in the exit lane, please make sure you choose the correct lane for payment. Once you have made the payment, the barrier will raise automatically to allow exit.

There are 56 bays set aside for disabled drivers in Car Park 1. If you’re a Blue Badge holder, you’ll need to display your blue badge or a permit while you’re on your break.
If you would like to take your blue badge with you on your travels, you must ensure the relevant permit is displayed om the window, this permit will act as your temporary blue badge. To obtain this permit, please go to the nearest cabin and an attendant will give you a form to fill out. Once you’ve got your permit, head to Car Park 1, where you’ll be directed to your space. All the Blue Badge spaces are conveniently located right next to the pedestrian exit at Car Park 1.
Please remember to bring all the details from your confirmation email, including the reference number, as this allows us to process your permit more quickly.
If you’re arriving by motorcycle, we have some dedicated motorcycle spaces available in Car Park 1. You will see a temporary designated sheltered area for motorcycles within the Permit Holder bays on Level 0. If the motorcycle spaces are full, please press for assistance at the entry lane, exit lane or one of the Pay on Foot machines located within the car park and our friendly Control Team will be only too happy to assist.
