Update #2, 8 September 2026, 1900 hours
Following the technical issue that occurred with NATS we have worked closely with them and departures from BHX restarted at 1840. We continue to work with NATS, who is responsible for air traffic control, to clear the backlog alongside our airlines and handling agents. Customers are advised to check the status of their flight with their airline. Once again we apologise for the disruption caused.
There is currently an air traffic technical issue affecting airspace in the south of the UK, which is impacting a number of departing flights.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Those due to travel today should still arrive in line with airline advice, and contact their airline directly for the latest flight information and updates.
