Using Car Park 1
When you arrive at Car Park 1, press for a ticket to gain entry, before parking your car in any available bay. Once you’ve pulled up, you’re free to carry on to the check-in desks and begin your journey, knowing that your vehicle is in good hands.
Blue Badge Holders
Car Park 1 has 30 bays set aside for disabled drivers. If you’re a Blue Badge holder, you’ll need to display a permit or your blue badge while you’re on your break. To do this, you will need to go to the nearest Cabin to fill out a form and collect your permit. If you want to take the blue badge with you, then please make sure you display the permit in the window, which is effectively a temporary blue badge.
Please remember to bring all the details from your confirmation email, including the reference number, as this allows us to process your permit more quickly.
Once you’ve got back from your break and are off the aircraft, leave the terminal building, and head straight to the car park. There are 6 pay stations available, where you can pay by cash, credit or debit card, before you continue to the exit point. If you pay at the pay station the barrier will raise without the need to insert the ticket. Don’t panic if you’re not carrying cash when you come back from your trip, either. We’ve made sure that Car Park 1 is easy to use. When it’s time to leave, you’ll be able to pay using your credit or debit card at the exit barrier. However, if you do pay at one of the pay stations, the exit barrier will automatically rise without you having to search for your ticket.
If you experience any problems at the barrier, please press the button for assistance and our Control Centre (https://www.ncp.co.uk/help-centre/) team will be only too happy to help.
