Arriving at Kussamo Airport (KAO)

Kuusamo Airport is a small regional airport located about 6km northeast of Kuusamo town. The airport primarily serves as a gateway to the popular holiday destinations in the region, such as Ruka ski resort, Oulanka National Park, and other outdoor attractions in Finnish Lapland.

During the peak winter and summer seasons, there are shuttle buses that connect the airport with Ruka Ski Resort. These buses are often timed to match flight arrivals, especially during the busiest times of the year however please check before departing.

Taxi and car rental services are available from outside the arrivals area.
