Arriving at Skiathos International Airport (JSI)
The airport is located just two kilometres from Skiathos Town, on the eastern side of the island. The airport is known for its short runway and exciting low landings, making it a popular spot for plane watchers.
Even though the island is small, there are convenient transport options to help you reach your resort. Local taxi services are available outside the terminal, taking only 5-10 minutes to reach Skaithos Town, traffic depending.
There is a public bus stop, just a short walk from the airport. There are buses that run along the main coastal road, connecting Skiathos Town to the main beaches and resorts.
If you wish to explore the island are your own pace, car rental services are available at the airport.
You can walk from the airport to Skiathos Town in around 20 - 30 minutes, please bear in mind this may be more difficult if you have heavy or large luggage with you.
