Update #5, 11 August 2026, 1126 hours

Baggage operations remain stable today as recovery plans are continuing to prove successful. Passengers do not need to worry and should continue to arrive at the airport in line with the airline’s advice.

We apologise to those who have been impacted by this issue in recent days but would like to reassure those flying today that confidence remains in contingency plans, with our people on hand to support in the terminal

Update #4, 10 August 2026, 1715 hours

We sincerely apologise to all passengers that were affected by the issues over the weekend, and we continue to work hard, reuniting all bags with passengers. Contingency plans have been successful. However, this does not provide comfort for passengers who have been impacted. Advice is still that passengers should arrive in line with their airline’s advice.

For those travelling with easyJet. Jet2.com, Ryanair and TUI a day before bag drop service is available allowing customers with early morning flights to drop their bags the night before.

Update #3, 9 August 2026, 0700 hours

Whilst issues are remaining, the vast majority of baggage is travelling as planned with passengers. We are working with our airlines and third parties to reunite luggage with passengers as fast as possible and we are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience and stress this has caused some of our passengers.

Update #2, 8 August 2026, 0540 hours

We are continuing to experience an issue with our baggage systems which is impacting some outbound luggage. Engineers are on site and working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Terminal colleagues are also working hard to ensure baggage in terminal is being processed as quickly as possible. We expect this to cause inconvenience for some passengers, and we sincerely apologise for this. Those due to travel today, should still arrive at the airport in line with Airline advice.
