First Popeyes® UK Airport Restaurant Lands in Birmingham
SSP Group, a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations, and Popeyes UK®, the UK’s fastest-growing quick-service dining brand, officially opened the first Popeyes ® UK airport restaurant at Birmingham Airport (BHX) today.
The restaurant, which is located airside within the airport’s departures lounge, opened this morning with the first 150 customers being treated to exclusive Popeyes® branded travel merchandise. Founded in 1972, Popeyes® has become one of the world’s fastest growing quick-service restaurant brands and operates from around 4,000 restaurants globally.
From 3:30AM to 10AM, travellers from Birmingham Airport can enjoy Popeyes® brekkie menu which includes breakfast exclusive items like Cajun Hash Browns and the Big Brekkie Roll. A limited core menu of fried chicken favourites featuring the iconic Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Tenders will also be available at this time.
From 10am onwards, the restaurant will offer an expanded menu - including Signature Wraps, plus the brand-new Saucin’ Boneless range, inspired by bold New Orleans flavours: cheesy Garlic Parm, smoky BBQ, and spicy Buffalo.
All of Popeyes® chicken is halal and marinated for 12 hours in its signature blend of Louisiana seasoning, then hand-breaded and battered to deliver that world-famous ‘shatter crunch,’ complemented by tasty extras like Biscuits and Cajun Gravy.

Popeyes® UK Birmingham Airport is now open at Airside at Birmingham Airport (BHX), B26 3QJ. The new restaurant has brought over 70 new jobs to the local area and features 68 covers, self-service kiosks, and collection points for orders made via the Popeyes® UK website or official app.
