Wizz Air has marked the launch of Rome (FCO) as their latest destination from Birmingham after their inaugural flight departed from Birmingham Airport (BHX) yesterday (Monday 16th June 2025).
The low-cost carrier will be operating flights to the Italian capital with a frequency of three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Tickets are now available for sale on wizzair.com and via Wizz Air’s official mobile app.
Rome is the third most visited city in Europe and is renowned for its rich history, vibrant culture, and exquisite cuisine. Top attractions include the world-famous Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and the Sistine Chapel within Vatican City. With convenient flight times and direct service, the new route makes it easier than ever to immerse oneself in the beauty of the Eternal City.

All flights will be operated using the last-generation Airbus A321neo, the most efficient and sustainable aircraft in its category.
