Services to new destination of Tunisia go on sale for Summer 2027 from 1st May to 30th October 2027 from Birmingham Airport
Addition comes in response to demand from local holidaymakers and independent travel agents, giving customers access to beautiful beaches, rich history and culture in the North African favourite
18th June 2026: UK consumer champion Jet2 has given local customers and independent travel agents plenty to cheer about, after announcing the launch of flights and holidays to Tunisia from Birmingham Airport for Summer 2027.
The UK’s largest tour operator and third largest airline will operate two weekly services (Wednesdays and Saturdays) to the North African hotspot from 1st May to 30th October 2027.
Today’s announcement comes in response to demand from customers and independent travel agents across the region and means they have plenty of choice when it comes to taking off to a sun-soaked destination that offers culture, cuisine, history, beaches and fantastic value for money.
The exciting new addition means that customers travelling to Tunisia with Jet2holidays can now choose from a range of 3 to 5-star hotels situated in the resorts of Port el Kantaoui, Skanes, Mahdia, Sousse, Yasmine Hammamet and Hammamet.
From Hammamet’s magical medina to Sousse’s palm‑lined ramparts, the country brims with colour and character. Holidaymakers can wander Roman amphitheatres, sip mint tea beside blue‑and‑white cliffside houses or watch fishermen haul in the day’s catch along Mahdia’s quiet coast. Out in the south, salt flats shimmer like glass and desert villages appear out of nowhere. As well as offering golden beaches, Tunisia offers more than just a beach break as it is a place where every corner has a story.
Today’s announcement means that Jet2 will operate to 68 destinations in Summer 27 from Birmingham Airport, with 6 new destinations including Tunisia, [JP1] Bergerac, Hurghada, Jersey, Kavala (Thassos) and Sharm el Sheikh.
As well as experiencing the delights of Tunisia, customers can also choose award-winning holidays and flights, whether that is a package holiday with Jet2holidays, or a leisure flight with Jet2.com. Each of the brands have been recognised as a Which? Recommended Provider for providing industry-leading levels of customer service and customer experience.
