Monarch, a leading UK independent airline group, today announces the addition of Stockholm to its network for summer 2017 from Birmingham Airport.
Flights start on 28 April 2017 and will operate three times a week on a Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
Monarch will be the only airline flying to Stockholm from Birmingham airport. Stockholm is a great city for exploring - with a variety or shops, cafes and museums there is something for everyone.
As well as Stockholm as a new destination from Birmingham, flights to Nice are now on sale to book for summer 2017.
Marjan Schoeke, Monarch’s Head of Network Development, comments: “We are delighted to be announcing Stockholm as an exciting new destination to the Monarch network from Birmingham airport.
“Flights to Stockholm will operate all year round for those looking to book the perfect city break. We are sure that this will be a popular choice with our customers as we are the only airline flying direct to Stockholm from Birmingham Airport.”
William Pearson, Aviation Director at Birmingham Airport, said: “Stockholm is a city with so much to offer both our business and leisure passengers.
“The Swedish capital is unique in the way it’s spread across 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges making it an explorer’s paradise yet it is still very compact and walkable and so perfect for city breaks.
“As this is currently an unserved route from Birmingham Airport we are very excited to see three flights being scheduled a week making more of Scandinavia accessible from the West Midlands.”
