Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has introduced another brand new and exclusive destination to its Summer 18 programme from Birmingham Airport, with the addition of three weekly flights to Pisa.

The news comes just weeks after Jet2.com and Jet2holidays announced a massively expanded flights and holidays programme from Birmingham Airport for Summer 18, with over 900,000 seats, two brand new aircraft and thousands of 2-5 star hotels on sale. The company will now operate to 29 destinations during Summer 18, meaning it has added a massive 14 new destinations including two exclusive routes (Pisa and Halkidiki).

The addition of flights means that Jet2.com is the only airline to fly to Pisa direct from Birmingham Airport, giving holidaymakers unrivaled access to the famous city and its leaning tower. The service also provides great access to the city of Florence as well as the region of Tuscany, famed for its country escapes and beach breaks. Three weekly flights every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday provide great choice and flexibility for local holidaymakers, particularly those looking to take a long weekend city break.

Pisa is the third new Italian destination that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has added to its programme for Summer 18. The company will also operate two weekly flights to the eternal city of Rome and two weekly flights to Naples, providing access to the Amalfi Coast for local holidaymakers.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “The addition of Pisa to our Summer 18 programme gives local holidaymakers even more choice from Birmingham Airport, with 29 sun and city destinations now on sale. This now includes three fantastic Italian destinations and we are delighted to be the only airline from Birmingham Airport that provides direct access to Pisa. I am confident that the appeal of this stunning destination, in addition to our award-winning service, will make the route extremely popular.”

David Winstanley, COO, of Birmingham Airport said: “It is great news that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have added Pisa to its Summer 18 schedule from Birmingham Airport.  Pisa is a great holiday destination but also gives access to the surrounding area of Tuscany giving passengers the option of travelling around Italy. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays only launched in March this year but the appeal of friendly low fares and great destinations means that there is something for all passengers.”
