Air France has celebrated 30 years of operating to Paris Charles de Gaulle from Birmingham Airport, over which time the airline has carried more than 1.7 million passengers.

Birmingham is set to have a direct connection to the thriving commercial and tourist centre of Antwerp in Belgium, thanks to a new service by European carrier VLM Airlines launching on October 05, 2015.

Birmingham Airport has set another new passenger record, seeing its busiest day ever yesterday, Thursday 13th August 2015. Almost 40,000 passengers used the airport during the 24 hour period, an increase of 1% over the last record day almost ten years ago to the day, on Friday 12th August 2005.
